About

My name is Stephen and you are the lucky visitor at my raw, real and uncensored sometimes updated weblog. This is the page where I start every sentence with “I.”

I am a full-time student out of the Chicago area with interests in technology, photography, politics and the acoustic guitar.

I like to read – mostly social, religious and historical books, though I do like some good fiction. I’d eventually like to write a book of my own but with neither the massive amount of time I take to scribe coherent thoughts nor the loyalty to a single subject, this goal will remain a distant reality for the time being.

I am an agnostic atheist who finds the need for such labels embarrassing. I try to be non-partisan, though I generally lean more towards the left.

I’m in the process of teaching myself the guitar, and I just bought myself a fancy new Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. I’m running Ubuntu 7.10 on an aging rig.

Everything I publish is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license. Share and change anything, just give props where props are due and keep the love flowing.

Feel free to contact me, either through the comments or send a good old fashion email to the address below. I’m also on Google Talk.

That would be great! I am enjoying “scramblings.” I noticed you have a post about The Golden Compass we have one at DH as well. I hope you will join us.
