The fact is that neither God nor Jesus nor Christianity is even mentioned in the Constitution. If the founders intended America to be a Christian state, it would have been mentioned in the Constitution. I never said we weren't influenced by Christianity (although I tend to believe America exists in spite of it), I'm arguing the historic fact that the crafters of the Constitution intended America to be a free nation where no one creed is favored above another. And as far as abortion goes... I have a somewhat complex and underdeveloped view I'm not prepared to debate. It doesn't really have much to do with my opinion of one Mike Huckabee being a complete and total asshat either. Yes, but that is irrelevant to the foundation of our laws.
