Obama wins Iowa!
A couple of days ago, I wrote that Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee are their parties best chance at the presidency. It looks like the caucus-goers of Iowa agreed with me. Both Huckabee and Obama won the Iowa primary with about a 10% gap separating them from their nearest opponent.
Perhaps Obama can pull this off. He beat Hillary and elegantly followed her partisan rally-cry with a universal call for change, hope and comprise – things like resolving the American occupation of Iraq; finding a clean, renewable energy source and bringing about affordable health care. Things that the larger sum of Americans (who are neither far-right conservatives or far-left liberals) can get behind.
Barack Obama has a defining opportunity. He can practically use his inexperience to his advantage. Tired of the status quo, endless war and the effects of an incompetent government? Barack the vote.
